I had a great time making matching tea-boxes for Annie and Riki for Christmas this year. Each box top is heavily figured maple (visible inside and out) and the sides are walnut joined with dovetail splines. The box holds probably 100 tea bags, and they each got a vast assortment of different kinds of tea with their box. The box hinges and clasp are decorative, antique bronze. I also made honey spoons out of maple with a cute honeypot server (from Hobby Lobby). I think they came out quite nice, but don’t look too closely… they are definitely Kelly Miller projects!
